TOO MUCH WATER?
Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 07:28PM Fall is here! It's may favorite time of the year. I love the cooler temperatures!! There is nothing better than a cool fall day with warm sunshine coming down!
In all our years I have never heard that there is such a thing as "too much water" for your lawn! This year is quite the exception!! Coming out of a drought, who would think this? Some of the concerns we are seeing with lawns this year actually start with too much water, and improper mowing. If you have an established lawn, TURN OFF your sprinkler! Of course, new sod still needs to be watered in sufficiently. Check out the section "how to water sod" under the "How Too" link on the main page!
Have a blessed day!

I have lived in Missouri but now I'm up north in Illinois in Palatine. Landscaping with turfgrass up here is a challenge as well. Sometimes too much rain, sometimes not enough, wretched winters, wilting summers. Polo has more of a southern climate while we have brutal northern climate. Thanks for the site. It helps people understand the sprinkler is not always the answer.
